Print Story so boring.

here's how you do it: first, you come up with what you want them to say. then you say what you think will make them say it. then they say it. (i used to laugh after that part.)

variant: have some kind of flame or insult in mind. divide it into two parts: the first, which should make clear what you're going to do while at the same time inspiring them post the next part of the setup. after they've said what you wanted them to, finish the flame with the second part.

if you're into renewable resources, make it look like they got you good -- this will insure they'll do it again.

Print Story maintaining a healthy smile in the new economy

working people in america today having more and more difficulty finding employers who offer dental insurance as part of their benefit package. in american culture, good oral hygiene is extremely important, both socially and professionally. people with "bad teeth" are often seen as low class, unattractive, or simply disgusting.

young people in particular have been led to various home remedies to deal with plaque, bad breath, and the gum disease gingivitis. of course, brushing and flossing are important, but these are no substitute for the attention of the neighborhood d.d.s. (or at least hygienist). with increases in energy costs, traditional methods like chewing charcoal and gargling with petroleum distillates such as kerosene and diesel fuel are increasingly out of the reach of the working poor, leaving many in a quandry.

in a site full of health conscious young bachelors and bachelorettes like this one, surely there are as many tricks for keeping one's pearly whites on the straight and narrow as there are secret ramen recipes. i invite all of you to share them below.

Print Story do you like dogs?

i don't have a dog myself, but my mother has one. i didn't like dogs when she first got it (back when i was i high school), but it's grown on me. i mean, there's something wrong with someone who doesn't like nice, little dogs that don't shed or bark too much.

i know some people, especially internet people, like cats, but i think they're a little too moody. dogs are always happy and excited, which is nice. cats don't really care whether you live or die. plus, i'm kind of mildly allergic to cats.

anyway, i'm sure everyone has a story or two about their dogs. so how about it? do you like dogs?

Print Story rmg's laundry day
Diary

first, let me just say i'm very pleased with the participation so far. as i understand it, it'll be the sixth for a bit longer in hawaii... although, why would you waste your time on the internet if you lived in hawaii? in any case, there's certainly room for a few more laundry diaries.

second, it seems that some of the people who signed up haven't gotten around to doing laundry and writing about it. gzt comes to mind. perhaps we could make tomorrow gzt's laundry day? that'd give all of you a chance to get that laundry finished up without having to worry about the time factor.

third, sort of an administrative point, i was thinking it would be rather corking if those of you who wrote laundry diaries would add an "rmg's laundry day" tag and if you're feeling really ambitious, vote any laundry diaries you liked to the front page... but you know, no pressure.

finally, since i think we've all enjoyed this fun filled hulver's site event and, of course, one good turn deserves another, maybe we could make this a monthly or even fortnightly (though that'd be pushing it for me) thing. i think it'd be a stone groove.

but enough of that, rmg, what about the laundry?

have you looked at the calendar yet? it's the first week of april and you know what that means: tomorrow is rmg's laundry day!

those of you who've looked at the events calendar know that we've got a pretty cool bunch all ready to do some laundry and write some diaries. in fact, two out of the five ladies around here will be joining in the fun, so for an internet based event, it's not too bad.

anyhow, make sure you sign up today. it'll be a good time for all!

Print Story this is a warning to cheeseburgerbrown.
listen up you rat bastard: don't you even pretend to know what i'm about. 'cause you don't know what i'm about. you don't know what i was about. you don't know what i'll ever be about.

there's things you don't know about me, cbb. things you wouldn't understand. things you couldn't understand. things... you shouldn't understand.

i'm bad, cbb. you don't want to get mixed up with a guy like me. i'm a loner, cbb. a rebel.

Update [2006-4-4 22:13:2 by rmg]: by the way, everybody, be sure to sign up for rmg's laundry day coming up this thursday-- it's on the event calendar!

Update [2006-4-4 22:13:2 by rmg]: everybody except cheeseburgerbrown.
